Getting started

Repository access and visibility

Why some repositories appear in ActionWatch and others do not.

ActionWatch shows a repository only when both of these are true:

  1. The GitHub App installation includes the repository.
  2. The GitHub account you signed in with is allowed to use that installation and can see the repository.

Why a repository may not appear yet #

  • The GitHub App is not installed on that organization or personal account.
  • The installation is limited to selected repositories and the repository is not included.
  • Your GitHub account is not allowed to use the organization's installation.
  • ActionWatch is still loading the first workflow history for the repository.

What to check first #

  • Confirm the GitHub App is installed on the correct account or organization.
  • Confirm the installation includes the repository you are looking for.
  • Confirm you signed in to ActionWatch with the GitHub account that has access.
  • If you just installed the GitHub App, allow time for the first workflow history to load.

If those checks look right and the repository still does not appear, see common setup and data problems.
