Alert rules vs. active alerts #

• Alert rules define the conditions ActionWatch monitors.
• Active alerts are the rules that currently match a problem.

What users can do #

Depending on your permissions, you can review and acknowledge alerts, mute an alert rule, or resolve an alert after investigating the problem.

Who sees what #

Alert visibility follows account and repository access in ActionWatch. Team members see alerts for the CI data they can access. Operator tools are separate.

Notifications #

Browser and in-app notifications tell you about new alert activity. If you miss a notification, open ActionWatch to check the alert's current status.
